Instructor

Simon Want

Simon qualified from The Royal (Dick) Veterinary School in Edinburgh in 1996. He is an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Dermatology and was awarded a Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology in 2009. He is a member of The British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group and The European Society of Veterinary Dermatology, both of which he can thoroughly recommend, if you wish to further your interest in Veterinary Dermatology. He has acted as ‘Dermatology Support’ for Nextmune from the start of 2023 and has known a number of Nextmune colleagues for much longer than that, in relation to product support and the British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group (BVDSG). Simon was approached to write and present this course because he has also been, and continues to be, a GP vet, having run and owned practices since 2000. This gives him a practical perspective and an understanding of the challenges of dermatology in primary care practice.
